How to use this overview
The table lists every provider with its group, the number of account options on its product page and the lowest listed price. It is the fastest way to shortlist candidates before opening the detailed comparisons or the product pages themselves.
The four groups
Hyperscale platforms offer extensive catalogs of managed services and global networks of data centers. Developer-focused platforms emphasize simplicity, predictable pricing, and developer experience. European providers are chosen for regional focus, data residency and cost efficiency. Enterprise and global platforms bring hybrid capabilities, database strengths and multi-region reach.
A structured way to shortlist
- Document the primary workload and its resource profile: CPU, memory, storage, network, and any specialized needs such as GPUs or managed databases.
- Map geographic requirements: regions that matter for latency, data residency, or redundancy.
- Assess team skills and preferred tools; familiarity with a platform’s console and APIs accelerates adoption.
- Review pricing models and estimate costs under expected usage, including data transfer and storage.
- Decide whether a single-provider or multi-provider approach better fits current needs and future plans.
Then open the product page for each shortlisted provider and compare the listed options against that profile.
